Oral care is changing shape. Toothpaste tablets, tooth powder and oral sprays have moved from niche formats to mainstream shelves, yet the packaging that carries them often still follows the logic of plastic tubes and multi-material laminates. Today, Merrynewon introduces a packaging line developed specifically for oral care, comprising Aluminum jars, aluminum bottles and slide boxes — a mono-material, food-grade and highly customizable system that covers both product protection and shelf presence.

One launch, three dosage formats

The line is designed around formats rather than around a single container:

Aluminum Jars are offered in multiple sizes with a wide-mouth opening for easy filling and dispensing, suited to tooth powder and toothpaste tablets. The aluminum body blocks light and oxygen and resists moisture ingress — reducing the risk of powder caking and tablet softening — while the wide mouth lets consumers measure with a finger or a small spoon.

Aluminum Bottles span 30ml to 100ml, covering travel sizes through family formats. Each bottle can be paired with an aluminum cap or a sprayer head, with multiple sprayer styles available to match different output requirements, from fine mist to continuous spray. This makes the same body suitable for both toothpaste tablet storage and oral spray applications.

Slide Boxes are available in five sizes with a push-pull opening that can be operated one-handed, intended for toothpaste tablets and lozenges — small solid formats that are carried daily and opened repeatedly. The five sizes cover single-use samples, weekly packs and monthly packs.

Food-grade certified, direct food contact

All three lines use food-grade materials and hold food-contact certification, allowing direct contact with the product without an additional inner liner. Because oral care products are particularly sensitive to odor and migration, the interior coating can be specified BPA-free, and market-specific compliance documentation is available on request.

For brands selling into the EU, the timing matters: the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) continues to advance, and the Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive (ECGT) raises the evidentiary bar for claims such as "recyclable" and "eco-friendly." Aluminum is infinitely recyclable, mono-material and well served by existing sorting infrastructure — giving brands a sustainability story that is easier to verify and easier to defend.

Customization down to the detail

The line supports end-to-end customization. Logos can be printed on jars, bottles and boxes using offset printing, screen printing, embossing or labels, combined according to design complexity and budget. Colors can be matched to brand specifications, and surface finishes include matte, gloss and electroplated options — useful for tiering a portfolio or building the premium feel expected in men's grooming and travel retail.
